Press Exhibition announces winners

TEHRAN – The 23rd Press Exhibition, Iran’s most significant media showcase, announced the winners during its closing ceremony at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla on Friday.

The Mehr News Agency (MNA) won the Proper Persian Grammar and Writing Award in the news agency category, while Hamshahri received the award in the newspaper category.

The award is presented in collaboration with the Academy of Persian Language and Literature to honor those newspapers, news agencies and provincial papers that try to use Persian language properly.

In addition, DEFA Press was selected as best stand among the news agencies by the organizers and Sharvand was named best stand in the newspaper category.

The representatives of over 900 newspapers, news agencies, press organizations, magazines and news websites participated in the eight-day exhibition that opened on October 27.
