Stage adaptation of “What’s in a Name?” prepared for Tehran performance

TEHRAN – A loose adaptation of French-Belgian comedy play “What’s in a Name?” will be performed at the Nazerzadeh Kermani Hall of the Iranshahr Theater Complex on November 12.

Director Alireza Kushk-Jalali has renamed the play “Waiting for Adolf” to perform it in Iran.

Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patelliere co-directed a screen adaptation of “What’s in a Name?” in 2012.

The play is about Vincent, a real estate agent and father-to-be, who is invited to a dinner party by his sister Elizabeth. Everything is fine during the party until Vincent reveals he intends to name his son Adolf.

Ashkan Khatibi, Hossein Omidi, Ava Sharifi and Reza Molai are the main cast members for the play that will remain on stage until December 11.
