TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is scheduled to pay official visits to Italy and Azerbaijan on Thursday and Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said.

At the official invitation of his Italian counterpart, Zarif will visit Rome to attend the third edition of Mediterranean Dialogues, which is due to be held in the Italian capital, Qassemi said on Wednesday.

Zarif will then leave Rome for Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital, on Friday to take part in the Heart of Asia Conference, which will be mainly focusing on the issue of Afghanistan, the spokesman added.
