Leader offers condolences over death of poet Chaichian

TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has offered his condolences over the death of Habibollah Chaichian, the Iranian poet who was mostly famous for his compositions on Islamic rituals, Prophet Muhammad (S) and his household.

“I offer my condolences over the death of the poet of Quran and Prophet’s household, Mr. Habibollah Chaichian (Hesan), to the literary community of the country, ritual poets and his respected family,” the Leader wrote in a message published on Tuesday.

“His fine and fervent poems are among the memorable ritual and religious poems of our time and will remain in minds forever,” he added.

Chaichian who was mostly known by his pseudonym Hesan died of natural causes on Thursday at the age of 94.
