Iranian photographers’ exhibit opens in Tehran

TEHRAN – The sixth edition of the exhibition 10 Days with Iranian Photographers, which displays photos on various subjects, opened at the Iranian Artists Forum (IAF) in Tehran on Wednesday.

All the IAF galleries have been dedicated to photos taken by members of photographers’ associations on a variety of subjects such theater, cinema and cultural heritage.

“There is a home here for all art associations, and each association can have its share of this exhibition,” IAF director Majid Rajabi-Memar said at an opening ceremony held for the event.

“I hope the meetings and workshops arranged for the exhibition can help promote the art of photography in Iran,” he added.

The Cultural Heritage Photographic Society of Iran is attending the exhibit with photos of the wind towers in ancient Iranian architecture and Iran’s Association of Revolution and Sacred Defense Photographers have hung photos on the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

The organizers have dedicated a special section for photographers from the regions of Khorasan and West Azarbaijan.
