Bulgarian firm aims to build solar farm in Iran

TEHRAN – Bulgarian Energy Company, Solar & Benefit, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the construction of a solar farm in Iran.

The project is planned to be implemented in Jahrom Special Economic Zone in the southern province of Fars, IRNA reported on Friday without providing details.

Since the removal of sanctions on Iran in January 2016, Solar & Benefit has signed MOUs with the Iran’s network operator and energy provider Tavanir for the construction of photovoltaic solar farms with a total capacity of 400 megawatts, according to the Bulgarian company’s website.
