Tehran says not recognizing Israel

December 16, 2017

TEHRAN – Iran announced on Thursday that its support for the documents issued in the recent emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) does not mean that Tehran recognizes “the occupying and fake regime of Israel.”

Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said the Islamic Republic supports the “inalienable rights of the Palestinian people,” Tasnim reported.

The spokesman further said Iran’s refusal to recognize the Israeli entity was announced during the conference and officially submitted to the secretariat of the OIC summit in a written form.
