First VP inaugurates major industrial projects

TEHRAN- Iranian First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri inaugurated major industrial projects in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi on Thursday, Shata news agency reported.

The senior official opened Sangan Pelletizing Plant in Khaf region, with the capacity of producing five million tons of conglomerates per annum. 

Some 12 trillion rilas (about $285.5 million) of investments was made to implement this project, completion of which will create direct jobs for about 1,000 people and indirect jobs for 5,000 ones.

Jahangiri also inaugurated the second phase of Binalood’s Pardis Paper Complex, Iran’s biggest paper producing unit, with the capacity of producing 150,000 tons of paper each year.

This phase was completed within 17 months using 1.25 trillion rials (about $29.7 million) of investments supplied by Iranian private sector and China and will create direct jobs for 300 people.
