Tehran Intl. FICTS Festival announces official lineup

TEHRAN – Ten movies will go on screen in the official competition of the 11th edition of the Tehran International FICTS Festival, an event for sports films, the organizers announced on Monday.

“One Day One Child” by Sinan Sertel from Turkey, “Ola Bola” by Chiu Keng Guan from Malaysia, “Requited” by Nerissa Picadizo from the Philippines, “Sultan” by Ali Abbas Zafar and “Play in the Mud” by Jayaraj Kadambil, both from India, are among the films.

Also included are Iranian films “Spare” by Borzu Niknejad, “Captain Amir” by Saeid Chari, “I Am Iranian” by Seyyed Ahmad Najafi, “The Good Sense of Life” and “Sniff”, both by Farzaneh Amini.

The festival is organized by the Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (FICTS) and is a part of the World FICTS Challenge that runs in 16 countries around the world.

The Iranian edition of the festival will be held from January 15 to 25 in collaboration with the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, IRIB and the Tehran Municipality.
