Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts set for Jan. 23

TEHRAN – The 10th edition of the Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts, displaying over 90 works from Iran and different countries, will open in Tehran on January 23.

The works will be showcased at the Saba Art and Cultural Institute, the secretary of the Festival, Mojtaba Aqai, said in a press conference at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art on Tuesday. 

The festival will also organize exhibitions in the cities of over 20 provinces.

Works by artists from Mexico, Turkey, Russia, Greece, Spain, Turkey and several other countries will be put on display during the festival.

Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center is planning to hang works by those Iranian artists who have won prizes at national and international events.

A selection of works displayed over the past nine editions of the festival will be exhibited at the Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran.

A special day for each participating country has been arranged during the event running for one month.
