Andrey Shturbabin, the head coach of the Uzbekistan team, has been named as new head coach of Iran national team on Monday.

The 45-year-old coach is under contract at Uzbekistan team until the end of January but will join Team Melli from February.

Shturbabi has penned a one-year contract with Iran judo team for an undisclosed fee.

Iran judo federation has also reached an agreement with Uzbekistani Nellya Kiyamova.

She will coach Iran’s women judo team.
