TEHRAN – Head of the Department of Environment, Issa Kalantari, appointed Fariba Rezaee as the director general of the department of environment of the western province of Kordestan, IRNA reported on Saturday.

Rezaee has previously served as the advisor to Kordestan governor general, the head of the recycling center at the city of Sanandaj, the director of the waste management organization of Kordestan, and the secretary of the headquarters for saving Zarivar Lake, located in the city of Marivan.

Nayereh Pourmolayee was the first-ever woman who was appointed as the head of the department of environment in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan in 2016.
