TEHRAN – An Iranian lawmaker on Sunday rejected recent calls by the U.S. and French presidents for changes to the 2015 nuclear deal, saying the Islamic Republic will never accept any further annex to the deal.

Hossein Naqavi Hosseini said recent comments by the U.S. and French presidents about renegotiating the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), are unacceptable, Tasnim reported.

The lawmaker further pointed to the possibility of a U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear deal, saying that if the U.S. exits the agreement, Iran will do so.
