Iran condemns South Africa terror attack

TEHRAN – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Friday condemned a terrorist attack against a Shia mosque in the South African city of Durban, IRNA reported.

At least one worshipper was killed in the terrorist attack in Durban which also left two others wounded. The attackers then set the mosque on fire. 

Qassemi sympathized with the families of the victims and the people and government of South Africa, saying the attack was aimed at creating insecurity and sparking conflict and religious sedition.

He also underlined the need for collective efforts of all countries to root out terrorism.
