Spring horse-racing competition held in Gonbad-e Kavus

11th week of the horse-riding competition was held in Gonbad-e Kavus, in Iran's northeastern province of Golestan.

A total of 67 competitors took part in the competition.
Persian horses have a good temperament, together with great stamina. They are sure footed and extremely intelligent.
Horse-racing is one of the most ancient past-times, dating back to some of the earliest civilizations of man.
