“Bystander” wins award at Russian festival

TEHRAN -- “Bystander” by Sheida Kashi from Iran has won one of the awards for top animated films at the Light to the World, an international youth film festival in Yaroslavl, Russia.

“Bystander” was competing in the age category B (age of authors from 18 to 35 years), the organizers announced on Sunday.

The animation tells the story of an old man who witnesses a revolution in his country.

The grand prix of the festival was presented to “Once in An Orphanage” co-directed by Serik Abishev and Ruslan Magomadov from Kazakhstan.
