Congo FM in Tehran, meets deputy FM Morteza Sarmadi

TEHRAN – Jean-Claude Gakosso, the foreign minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, held talks on Thursday with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi in Tehran, the official website of Iran’s Foreign Ministry reported.

During the Thursday meeting, Gakosso expressed his country’s readiness to expand cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various political and economic areas.

In turn, Sarmadi underlined the importance that the Islamic Republic attaches to African countries in its foreign policy.

He also noted that Iran’s technical and engineering companies are prepared to take part in various power, energy, and other infrastructure projects in the African country.
