River Film Festival review Iranian cinema

TEHRAN – A selection of short films are being screened in the “Iran, Country in Focus”, a section dedicated to Iranian films at the 12th River Film Festival, which opened June 15 in the Italian city of Padova.

The “Iran, Country in Focus” section screens “Ara” by Yousef Kargar, “Retouch” by Kaveh Mazaheri, “Neither You Nor Me” by Sepideh Mirhosseini,“Dive” by Hossein Darabi, “Autumn Leaves” by Mehdi Fard Qaderi, “Peshdar Dog” by Alireza Mohammadian and “Manicure” by Arman Fayaz.

In other sections the animation “Run Rustam Run” by Hossein Molayemi, documentary “Khoshbakhti” by Kuros Samanian, and extreme shorts “Duel”, “Mother” and “Reporter” by Mohammadreza Kheradmandan, as well as “Simple as That” and “Wirelephant” by Saman Ghanayemi, and “The Last Embrace” by Saman Hosseinpur will be screened.

“Siyamo” by Mahmudreza Sani will be screened on the closing day on June 30.
