The three top Iranian officials mull ways to counter U.S. economic threats

TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani, Judiciary Chief Sadeq Amoli Larijani and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani met on Saturday to study the country’s economic situation and draw up plans to counter threats posed by the U.S. against the Iranian economy.

The three heads of the government analyzed ways to withstand against possible U.S. sanctions and how to offset the impact of sanctions on the livelihood of the people, IRNA reported.

They also stressed the importance of a “serious measure” within the country’s legal system to fight money laundering and terrorism financing as well as expanding banking cooperation with other countries.
