Iranian military chief’s first visit to Pakistan

TEHRAN - Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Baqeri visited Islamabad, Pakistan, on Sunday for a three-day visit.

General Baqeri is scheduled to meet with senior Pakistani political and military officials.

This is the first visit by the chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces to Pakistan over the past 40 years.

The trip has been made upon the invitation of Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Iran, Pakistan, China and Russia which see the terrorist activities of Daesh in Afghanistan as a serious threat plan to establish cooperation against the group.
