TEHRAN – Iran freestyle team won the title of the 2018 Asian Junior Championships in New Delhi, India on Sunday.

The Iranian team claimed five gold medals and four bronzes in the two-day event.

Amirhossein Kavousi (70kg), Sajjad Gholami (79kg), Abbas Ali Foroutan (92kg), Sajjad Azizi (97kg), Amir Nader Yari (125kg) claimed five gold medals.

Reza Alijanzadeh (57kg), Amir Hossein Maghsoudi (65kg), Ali Savadkoohi (74kg) and Sajjad Seyedi (86kg) claimed four bronze medals.

Iran finished the team race in first place with 189 points, followed by India (173 points) and Uzbekistan (128 points).

Iran Greco-Roman wrestling team had claimed the title in Asian Junior championship on Thursday.
