TEHRAN – Iranian director Mir Abbas Khosravinejad’s short film “Foruzan” won the special jury prize for short film at the 11th edition of the Goddess on the Throne Film Festival in Kosovo, the organizers announced last Monday.

“Foruzan” tells the story of a widow with two children living in a village in central Iran. She tries to protect her herd from robbery in the night.

The festival was founded in 2002 by actor and TV producer Besim Ajeti as the first film festival in Kosovo. The festival is annually held at the Fushë Kosovo Railway Station.

Short films are shown on the train trips from one city to another, and feature films are shown on the premises of the railway station.

“My Short Words” directed by Bekir Bulbul from Turkey won the best feature-film award at the festival this year.
