TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday fired back at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for threatening Iran with “atomic annihilation”, calling him a “warmonger”.

“Iran, a country without nuclear weapons, is threatened with atomic annihilation by a warmonger standing next to an actual nuclear weapons factory. Beyond shameless in the gall,” Zarif tweeted.

Earlier, Netanyahu warned that Israel has the means to destroy opponents. “Those who threaten to wipe Israel out, put themselves in a similar danger, and in any event will not achieve their goal.”
