TEHRAN – Iranian actress Baran Kowsari won the jury prize at the Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards for her role in Soheil Beiraqi’s drama “Cold Sweat”, also known as “Permission”, the organizers announced last week.

The film tells the story of Iran’s national women’s futsal team that makes the Asian Games final in Malaysia. But at the airport on departure day, the team captain finds her husband hasn’t signed the document to permit her to exit from the country.

The Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards are presented to the best performances from the participants in the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival, which was held in the Irish capital from February 20 to March 3.
