March 4, 1998 - 0:0
DUBAI Persian Gulf Arab foreign ministers will meet in Saudi Arabia on Saturday to discuss relations with Iran. a Persian Gulf Arab official said on Tuesday. The foreign ministers are expected to review all issues, including relations with Iran and the islands issue, a Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) official told Reuters. The foreign ministers' meeting in Riyadh will be the first since PGCC leaders held their annual summit in Kuwait in December and follows a reduction in tension between Iran and its Persian Gulf Arab neighbors since last year's election of Iranian President Mohammad Khatami. The meeting is part of regular consultations conducted four times a year.
