TEHRAN – In a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and his Libyan counterpart Ashour Bin Khayal held talks on the latest efforts to obtain the release of the Iranian aid workers recently abducted in Libya.

Khayal expressed hope that Iranian aid workers would be released as soon as possible through the efforts of the Libyan government.

On July 31, a group of armed people kidnapped a seven-member delegation from the Iranian Red Crescent while they were leaving the headquarters of the Libyan Red Crescent in Banghazi.
