During a televised interview broadcast live on Iranian television, Salehi said, “We plan to (employ) young people at the temporary secretariat of the Non-Aligned Movement after obtaining the permit for employing 1000 people.”

During the first day of the NAM summit of heads of state and government on August 30, Egypt handed over the rotating presidency of NAM to Iran for a three-year term.

Salehi added that Iran also plans to employ forces from NAM member states.

If the experience that will be gained during the next three years is successful, it would provide justification for the establishment of a permanent secretariat, he stated.
