| ‘Enemies promoting Islamophobia due to Islam’s global popularity’ |

.jpg) TEHRAN – The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has said that the enemies are making every effort to promote Islamophobia because the world’s nations are embracing Islam.
SNSC Secretary Saeed Jalili made the remarks during a meeting with Mahmoud al-Zahar, a member of the Hamas leadership, in Tehran on Friday.
Jalili stated that Iran attaches great significance to the Palestinian issue and the resistance movement, adding that Iran’s approach to the issue has its roots in the Islamic thought.
Commenting on the wave of the Islamic Awakening rolling across the Muslim world, he said that the issue of Palestine and the campaign against the Zionist regime is a common issue among Muslim nations.
There is a necessity that Muslim countries use the opportunity provided by the Islamic Awakening and promote unity, he noted.
Jalili also said that the enemies are making efforts to sow discord among Muslim nations and prevent them from utilizing their potential to foster unity.
