| China hails Iran’s efforts to help resolve Syrian crisis |

 TEHRAN – Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Zhang Zhijun has thanked Iran for its efforts to help defuse the crisis in Syria.
Zhang made the remarks during a meeting with Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is Iran’s deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, in Tehran on Sunday, the Persian service of IRNA reported.
The Chinese official emphasized the need for the continuation of consultation between China and Iran as an important regional country.
Amir-Abdollahian appreciated the stance that Beijing has adopted toward the developments in Syria, and said that the Arab country is taking firm steps in combating terrorism.
