TEHRAN - The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) discovered an electronic monitoring device near the Fordo uranium enrichment facility last month, the Sunday Times reported on Sunday, citing Western intelligence sources.

IRGC forces were checking on communications terminals at Fordo when they discovered a rock, according to the report. When the soldiers attempted to move the rock, it exploded, presumably self-destructing.

Last week, Fereydoun Abbasi, director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said explosives had been used to cut power lines from the city of Qom to the Fordo facility on August 17.
