Iran, Zimbabwe call for expansion of ties

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_02_ep6(8).jpgTEHRAN – Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi met with Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi in Tehran on Tuesday. 
 
During the meeting, Rahimi commented on relations between the two countries and said that efforts should be made to enhance bilateral cooperation.   
 
He also said that Iran is ready to share its experiences in various areas with Zimbabwe.  
 
In addition, the Iranian official stated that new avenues should be explored to eliminate poverty in Africa. 
 
The Zimbabwean foreign minister stated that the two countries have friendly ties and share common views on many international issues. 
 
He also called for the expansion of relations between Tehran and Harare.
