Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said that intensifying economic pressure on the people, running smear campaigns against the Islamic Republic system, and driving the society to despair are among the plots hatched by the enemies.

“The enemies are trying to affect the election and change the governance structure through intensifying pressure,” Khatami stated.

They make every effort to portray the situation in the country as critical, he said, adding that although there are some problems, no crisis has occurred in the country.
