The latest round of high-level talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) was held in Moscow on June 18 and 19.

No date has been set for a new round of talks.

Speaking to the Persian service of IRNA in an interview published on Saturday, Abbasi stated, “If Iran’s nuclear rights are recognized, and we are allowed to fulfill our commitments according to these rights, negotiations with the 5+1 group will definitely bear fruit.”

He added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue the negotiations, and we recently held a number of meetings at the International Atomic Energy Agency.”

The negotiations are underway and there is no special problem in the process of talks, Abbasi said.
