Iran-Germany relations have always been important: MP

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_02_mh17(2).jpgTEHRAN – The Islamic Republic believes that Tehran-Berlin ties have always been of great importance, Iranian MP Javad Heravi told German Ambassador to Iran Bernd Erbel during a meeting in Tehran late on Sunday.
 
Heravi, who is the chairman of Iran-Germany Parliamentary Friendship Group, described the relations between the two countries as historical and emphasized the necessity to utilize the great potential to promote ties in all spheres.
 
He also said that the parliaments of the two countries have always played a major role in promoting bilateral cooperation in all areas.
 
Heravi expressed hope that the two countries would remove, through joint effort, the obstacles in the way of promoting relations, particularly parliamentary ties.
 
During the meeting, Erbel praised Iran’s rich culture and civilization and described relations as close.
 
He said Iran is an influential country in the region and expressed hope that the parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries would play a leading role in the expansion of relations in all spheres.
