|Terrorists arrested in southwestern Iran||
TEHRAN – The Iranian Intelligence Ministry issued a statement on Friday announcing that a number of terrorists linked to foreign intelligence agencies had recently been arrested in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
According to the statement, following extensive efforts by Iranian intelligence agents over the past few days, a number of terrorists linked to foreign intelligence agencies were identified and arrested in possession of a large amount of explosives that had been sent to Iran from one of the Persian Gulf Arab states.
The terrorists had carried out a number of bombing attacks against pipelines in Khuzestan in order to undermine the security of the province, it added.
The Intelligence Ministry also said that the terrorists, guided by Western-Zionist intelligence agencies, had plotted more terrorist attacks.
