|Japan’s new ambassador submits copy of credentials to Iranian FM||
TEHRAN – Japan’s new ambassador met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi in Tehran on Sunday and presented him a copy of his credentials.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral issues.
Salehi commented on the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program and said that it is the country’s inalienable right to develop nuclear technology meant for peaceful purposes.
The Japanese ambassador called Iran an important player in the region, adding that Tokyo is keen to expand ties with Tehran.
