| Iran unveils domestically manufactured helicopters |

 KISH ISLAND, Hormozgan Province – During a ceremony held on the sidelines of the sixth aerospace industry exhibition on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf on Tuesday, Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi unveiled two domestically manufactured helicopters.
The Panha 1 medium-weight helicopter, which can carry 14 people, and the Panha 2 light helicopter, which can carry 8 people, were unveiled.
A domestically overhauled 214ST helicopter, which can carry 20 people, was also unveiled during the ceremony.
The helicopters can be used to carry out logistic and combat missions.
During the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Tuesday, Vahidi announced that Iran will unveil new domestically designed trainer aircraft and fighter jets in the near future.
He also said that Iran has made great achievements in designing propulsion, radar, and communications systems for military and civil aircraft.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the defense minister said that Iran is ready to cooperate with regional countries in the aviation industry.
Vahidi also told reporters that the country’s achievements in drone technology will be announced in the near future.
