“All parties should adhere to seeking diplomatic ways while displaying wisdom and accommodating each other’s concerns, as well as promote talks to score more progress, in order to create more leeway for a long-term, comprehensive, and proper settlement to the Iranian nuclear issue,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a daily press briefing in Beijing on Monday, Xinhua reported.

The Iranian nuclear issue is now in a “crucial period”, although “great uncertainty” still exists, she added.

Hua also said that the international community’s efforts to push talks forward last year laid a foundation narrowing differences and expanding consensus on the issue.

The latest round of talks between Iran and the six major powers of the 5+1 group, namely the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, and Germany, was held in Moscow on June 18 and 19, 2012.
