“The country is in a special situation and is faced with sanctions, pressure, foreign conspiracies, and an unfavorable economic situation. The first task of the next administration is to find a way out of this situation and to maintain the country’s stability and calm,” Rohani, the director of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council, said on Sunday.
He also said that the next administration would be faced with a large number of problems, adding that the next president should be prepared to “make great sacrifices.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Iran’s former chief nuclear negotiator said that many experts had forewarned about the current economic problems facing the country.
He added that the problems were the result of ignoring the views of conscientious figures of the system.
