There are serious professional problems with the way Shaheed provides his reports including the sources that he uses, Javad Larijani told the Mehr News Agency on Sunday.
The fact that the names of persons in question are not revealed in Shaheed’s reports is an important problem, Larijani said, adding, “Only charges can be investigated that in initial studies bears some signs of truth.”
If Shaheed makes a claim, he should mention the source of it so that it can be proven, he noted.
He added any person like Shaheed “can easily compile a report” by studying reports posted on the websites run by individuals or organizations that are in animosity with the Islamic Republic’s system.
“His work is unjustified and is professionally quite unacceptable.”
“Due to this reason we seriously opposed his visit to Iran,” he explained. “Whether Ahmed Shaheed be in Iran or not his report lacks credibility.”
