Iran “expresses concern over Egyptian-Egyptian clashes… which have moved the country toward violence and disrupted national unity and domestic cohesion and heartened the enemies of Egypt,” part of the statement said.

It is necessary that Egyptians show “serious commitment to democratic process” and use all “tools” to realize democracy, the statement added.

The Foreign Ministry also said that the heroic resistance of the Egyptian people against the plots engineered by the Zionist regime of Israel is a golden page in the history of Egypt and it is necessary that the Egyptians be vigilant against the conspiracies by this regime and prevent any abuse of the situation by Tel Aviv.
The statement added, “There is no doubt that the people of Egypt will stand firm against any move by the enemies to derail the path of their revolution.”

The Foreign Ministry also said that Iran is closely monitoring the situation in Egypt.
