Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili said that a mobile launcher had been designed for the missile system and the system’s rate of fire had been increased.

He also said that the upgraded system would be used in a major air defense exercise, entitled the Defenders of the Sky of Velayat 5, which would be held in the second half of the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 21.

In addition, the general said that Iran planned to design and manufacture mobile launchers for other artillery and missile systems in order to enhance the mobility of the country’s air defense units.

Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi also announced on the same day that new domestically manufactured missiles and drones would be unveiled in the near future, according to the Fars News Agency.
