No cause for concern about Iran’s nuclear program: Rafsanjani

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_02_ep2(195).jpgTEHRAN – Iran’s Expediency Council Chairman, Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, has said that there should be no concern about Iran’s nuclear program given the fatwa (religious edict) that the Supreme Leader issued in 2005 declaring that the production, stockpiling, and use of nuclear weapons are all haram (prohibited in Islam).  
 
“There is no cause for concern since we have both nuclear know-how in the minds of our young people and the Leader’s fatwa that the use of nuclear weapons is haram. The important point is to make the world understand this through the language of diplomacy,” the former president said in a meeting with a number of MPs in Tehran on Monday.
