| Rohani meets foreign dignitaries ahead of swearing-in ceremony |

In an unprecedented move, Iran invited all world leaders, except those of the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel, to attend the ceremony.
Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader Al-Halqi met with Rohani, calling for expansion of ties with Tehran in all areas.
He also delivered a written message from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the new Iranian president and congratulated his victory in the June 14 election.
Rohani also held a meeting with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko and said that bilateral relations between the two countries were increasing, particularly in agricultural and industrial sectors.
He also expressed hope that the Ukrainian president would visit Iran in the near future.
Also the Ukrainian official welcomed the expansion of ties with Tehran, especially in cultural areas.
During a meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Rohani asked for the completion of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project at the earliest.
He hailed the growing relations between Tehran and Islamabad and added that the implementation of the IP project will greatly increase ties.
Chairman of North Korea’s Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly Kim Yong-nam met Rohani and said that Tehran and Pyongyang have taken similar stances against imperialism, adding that North Korea considers Iran’s victories in line with its own.
Rohani held separate meetings with Cuban Vice-President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisa, Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Speaker of the Algerian People’s National Assembly Abdelkader Ben Salah, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon.
