.jpg) TEHRAN – In a decree issued on Monday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appointed former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the Expediency Council.
Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani is the current chairman of the Expediency Council.
The Expediency Council is tasked with resolving differences or conflicts between the Majlis and the Guardian Council.
