| Rohani says Iran keen to expand ties with Turkey |

He made the remarks during a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Tehran on Monday who was visiting Tehran to attend his inauguration ceremony as Iran’s new president which was held in the Parliament on Sunday.
In an unprecedented move, Iran invited all world leaders, except those of the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel, to attend the ceremony.
Rohani added that the growing relations between Iran and Turkey would definitely help bring peace and stability to the region.
The Turkish official, for his part, said that his country was keen to expand economic relations with Iran.
Rohani also held a meeting with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Sunday and said that his presence in the inauguration ceremony reflected the friendly relations between the two nations.
In addition, Rohani said that the Iranian people have great affection for the Lebanese people because of their resistance against aggression and occupation by the regime of Israel.
Also Suleiman said that the Islamic Republic was a key player in resolving regional conflicts.
During a meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Rohani discussed a number of bilateral issues and said Armenia has adopted friendly stance toward Iran in various international conferences.
The Armenian President congratulated Rohani on his inauguration and said that over the past 20 years, Tehran and Yerevan have established constructive relations.
Algeria says Rohani’s election was a ‘victory of democracy’
Rohani also held a meeting with the speaker of the Algerian People’s National Assembly, Abdelkader Ben Salah, and said that Tehran was ready to increase ties in economic, cultural, and political areas with Algiers.
And the Algerian official conveyed warm greetings of his country’s president on Rohani’s victory in the June 14 election and added that it was the victory of democracy, grand ideals of the Islamic revolution, and the Iranian nation.
The new Iranian president also held separate meetings with Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai and former prime minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohammed.
