.jpg) TEHRAN – Iran has strongly condemned Thursday’s car bombing in the southern suburb of Beirut that left 24 dead and at least 335 more injured.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Araqchi said on Thursday night that the resilient people of Lebanon will definitely foil the evil plots of the Zionists meant to sow discord among the people and destabilize the Muslim country.
He also expressed sympathy with the victims’ families and said that the Islamic resistance movement Hezbollah is a key factor in defending territorial integrity of Lebanon.
The car bomb attack occurred in the Shia neighborhood of Ruwaiss in Beirut. The area is a stronghold of Hezbollah.
