He made the remarks during a press conference on the first day of his work as the defense minister in Tehran on Saturday.

Dehqan added that the ongoing unrest in the Arab country can lead to a civil war and eventually to social and security collapse.

He also cautioned that the crisis can spill over across the region and can pave the way for the presence of foreign forces which can change the balance of power in favor of the West and the Zionist regime.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Dehqan thanked the parliament for their vote of confidence and added that the Defense Ministry will introduce the least changes in various management and executive levels.
