“Iran is not sending any weapons to Syria,” the Iranian ambassador to Syria, Mohammad Reza Sheibani, told ISNA.

The Syrian Army is so prepared that it does not need military aid, Sheibani said.

According to the Daily Star, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said in Washington on Friday that Iraq had inspected Iranian planes and complained to Tehran but that Baghdad did not have the means to prevent the flights.

“I can tell you now they have gone down. They may not have stopped,” Zebari said at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
