| Egyptian, Qatari FMs congratulate Zarif on his appointment |

.jpg) TEHRAN – Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy and Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah held telephone conversations with their Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday and congratulated him on his appointment to the top diplomatic post.
During his conversation with the interim Egyptian foreign minister, Zarif voiced concern about the ongoing violence and killing of defenseless people in the Arab country.
He also called for the settlement of the conflict through peaceful means and reaching a political solution to put an end to the bloodshed in Egypt.
In his telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart, Zarif and Attiyah discussed relations between Tehran and Doha and the latest developments in the Middle East region.
Zarif officially started his work as Iran’s foreign minister on Saturday.
